July Software Updates

DxO OpticsPro (Macintosh/Windows) 10.4.2 adds support for the Canon 5Ds cameras as well as a number of new lens combinations to the underlying library. The current version is also claimed to be fully compatible with Photoshop CC 2015.

Qimage Ultimate 2016 (Windows) adds Windows 10 support, now uses multiple CPU cores more efficiently, and has other performance and user interface improvements.

Capture One 8.3.1 (Macintosh/Windows) adds support for tethering a Nikon D7200 (and several Sony cameras), and adds raw support for the Nikon J4 and V3, as well as some older Samsung and newer Canon cameras (750D, 760D). Preliminary support for the Leica Q. A number of stability issues were addressed.

Apple Digital Camera RAW Compatibility 6.05 for Yosemite adds support for the Canon EOS M3, the Fujifilm X-T10, the Leica M Monochrome, Nikon 1 J5 and D810A, and the Panasonic G7. This update shows up as a regular OS update in the App Store application. Note that you now need Yosemite (OS-X 10.10.x) in order to get new camera raw compatibility files, and that these are used by many programs, including Apple’s own Aperture and Photos.
