Lightroom 5.2 Ships, ACR Updates

(news)

Adobe today shipped Lightroom version 5.2 and updated Adobe Camera Raw to version 8.2. Surprisingly, Adobe's own Web site isn't listing the newly supported cameras in both products yet. For those that want to know, that would be:

  • Canon G16, S120*, and 70D
  • Casio EX-ZR800
  • Fujifilm HS22EXR, HS35EXR, S205EXR, and X-M1
  • Leica C (Type 112)
  • Olympus E-M1*
  • Panasonic GX7, FZ70, and FZ72
  • Pentax Q7, K-50, K-500
  • Sony RX100II, A3000, and NEX-5T

Meanwhile, Adobe's US$9.99 Photoshop Photography Program is now active. Adobe seems to have fixed some of their Web site. For example, at least one page now correctly claims "latest versions of Photoshop CC, Lightroom, and Bridge CC," instead of the confusing "Lightroom 5" that is in much of their marketing for the program. They've also updated their FAQ so that the wording is more clear about a number of aspects of the program.
