Thom's Mini Review: Even though this was the second version of the lens, it's past its prime now. It worked fine on the consumer 6mp cameras as a kit lens, but it shows its age and cheapness on the latest DX DSLRs. Beware also that this is a non-VR version of the lens. Technically, the VR version is slightly better and preferred.
