Nikon’s Pro D5 Tips

Nikon today posted “shooting tips for D5 users” on the global NPS site. The 32 tips are single page explanations of a single feature or use, and well worth studying. Some of them are fairly basic, some contain useful information that’s tough to find in the manuals (or missing).

As usual with a new focusing system, Nikon outlines starting recommendations for autofocus settings for individual sporting events, which sometimes prove insightful to how the design was contemplated. Curiously, we’ve got an awful lot of winter sports listed, and ones that are more relevant right now (e.g. basketball, baseball, US football) are missing. This seems to be a quickly redone version of the D4s recommendations, but still, it’s useful.
