Nikon Firmware and Download Updates

(news)

Nikon today announced firmware updates for the D750 and D810 cameras:

  • D750 version C1.01 addressed an issue with exposure when using flash and Auto FP Sync with Automatic ISO has been resolved; menu display on 4K compatible HDMI displays has been resolved; Beep (CSM #D1) now turns off all camera-generated artificial noise.
  • D810 version C1.02 fixes an issue with displaying zoomed images while the memory card access lamp was still lit; menu display on 4K compatible HDMI displays has been resolved; Beep (CSM #D1) now turns off all camera-generated artificial noise.

In addition to the updates, Nikon also (finally!) launched a new global download system for both software and manuals. All 43 languages that are supported can now be accessed from a single site. The new Nikon download site is here

It seems odd that you have to click a Search button rather than choosing a Product immediately triggering it’s page, but this is a first iteration; it should improve, right? Also, it would be nice to be able to “subscribe” to additions that are made for individual products. Still, it’s nice to finally have all these things in one place. Curiously, though, the firmware updates mentioned above aren’t available on this site as I write this, though they have appeared on some subsidiary sites. That seems strange.
